Rejuvenated seating at the old Station yard
In the Autumn of 2023, we were asked by the Tetbury Town Council to repair the four tired old Station Platform benches located around the Goods Shed. We replaced the wooden seating with Iroco timber, a material imported from West Africa and often used as a slightly cheaper alternative to Teak. Treated with a preservative oil, this timber will last for up to 30 years. The cast iron supports that were cast in a Swindon ironworks, have been stripped to the original metal and protected with red oxide paint before repainting with the Great Western cream and brown livery.
Rose Arbour at the Memorial Garden, Tetbury
JANUARY 2025 The Anniversary Garden situated at Eccles Court in Tetbury is our next challenge. The Rose Arbour which was built by Eric Simpson in 2007, is in urgent need of repair. New timber beams will need to be fitted before the spring so we will be inviting quotes from local merchants for the materials.
