Buddy Benches, a Shoulder to Shoulder Project

Buddy Benches may look like simple pieces of outdoor furniture, but their purpose is profound. They are invitations, gentle, visible signals that say “sit here if you’d like someone to talk to” and “join me if you’ve got a moment to spare.” In a world where loneliness is increasingly recognised as a public health issue, these benches offer a small but powerful antidote. And who better to build them than the very people who understand the value of human connection.
